Hello, i recently updated my nexus 5 to android L, but i cant find the ''verify apps'' feature anymore in any of the settings of the phone. Did google stop providing it and we need antivirus? Or maybe it is enabled by default in the background?
    thank you in advance

You can download this free Android 5.0 Guide from the play store ( https://play.google.com/store/books/...d=dnzVBAAAQBAJ ) and then search "verify apps".

    Also see this https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2812853?hl=en

I am inclined to believe that Verify apps is either on by default (and cannot be disabled, thus no menu item) or that it appears only if you have sideloaded apps installed already.
