    After perfectly setting up my customizations for my device, I did a full backup using TWRP.
    I also created a pin password on the device.
    Later did a restore, and I was locked out!
    The password no matter what I did wouldn't take.
    There was also no "Forgot Password", just "Cancel".
    As you can imagine, would hate to do a Wipe to Factory Defaults and start all over again.

    What to do? Thank you.

    ADVANCED TOPIC AHEAD!

    Remove these files either with TWRP File Manager or adb:

    gatekeeper.pattern.key
    gatekeeper.password.key
    locksettings.db

    ADB commands:

    adb devices
    adb shell
    cd /data/system
    rm gatekeeper.pattern.key
    rm gatekeeper.password.key
    rm locksettings.db

    I had this happen once and I rebooted. Cleared the error and I was able to get in.
