Android N beta - tabs gone from Multitasking screen?

A

AC Question

I have installed the Android N beta onto my Nexus 6P, and when I opened Chrome I found that the tabs that had been relocated to the multitasking screen in Lollipop had been reverted back into the Tab button within Chrome and the system was no longer treating each tab as its own open app. No problem, I thought, as the same thing happened every time I had upgraded my firmware previously, and I knew the option to move open tabs back into the multitasking screen was in the settings of Chrome. However, this option is gone in Android N - it's no longer possible to place apps in the multitasking window. Is the setting still there or has it been relocated or (I sincerely hope not) removed altogether?

Looks like the setting is gone from Chrome on my phone too - I actually really liked having tabs in multitasking to be honest

Google is phasing out the feature... To be honest, the vast majority of people hated it and Google saw no reason to continue to keep it in the browser.
