why in satan's glorious name can i not just view the full text message in the normal way? this is useless and frustrating and in no way helpful. there must be a setting to go back to the normal message view!

I have the same issue. I'm on a Sprint Galaxy S7 using the stock messaging app.

For those of us not directly familiar with how the S7's messaging app looks like now, are you saying that when there's a longer text message, it's displayed within the texting conversation as being cut off after a couple of lines, and you have to tap View All to see the whole message?

Yes, exactly. Before the update, the entire message would show without having to tap anything.

According to all the threads from the tons of unhappy users, the only two options for the "view all" feature are (1) to wait for an update hoping that the "feature" is removed, or (2) install a different SMS app.
