So I posted over at Google Forums but I haven't gotten a response yet. Maybe someone here will no the answer.

When I delete someone from Google Talk on my phone they were gone. No traces. When I went onto Gmail they are still there. But listed offline. There is no "remove" action or anything. I can hide the person. Which is fine; as when I delete their email from their; or, their contact it's gone and not in the list anymore.

My question is why is it still there in the first place after I removed them? Even if I remove and then re add their email back to their contact it shows up again. Is it because they still have me in their contacts or what?

More importantly: I Invited someone to google chat. But I don't think they use their gmail account frequent enough to use; or, get the invite. As I email them through yahoo and they always get back to me. That invite still shows in my google talk app under invited and in my list on gmail. How do I remove that person from the list or "unsend" the invite. I don't want to hide them in case they do finally accept and add me and then I don't see them.

this is how i did it. first people you dont want to delete completely sign into google and click the text icon at the bottom. the people should show up in your talk list. scroll over them and click more>never show. for the people you want to delete forever just click on the Gmail drop down in the top right corner just under the google logo. click contacts. in the search bar on top just below the address bar search their name and it should pop up, click on it and click more>delete. also there are guides to get the people on google plus out of your contacts. google those
