So I posted over at Google Forums but I haven't gotten a response yet. Maybe someone here will no the answer.
When I delete someone from Google Talk on my phone they were gone. No traces. When I went onto Gmail they are still there. But listed offline. There is no "remove" action or anything. I can hide the person. Which is fine; as when I delete their email from their; or, their contact it's gone and not in the list anymore.
My question is why is it still there in the first place after I removed them? Even if I remove and then re add their email back to their contact it shows up again. Is it because they still have me in their contacts or what?
More importantly: I Invited someone to google chat. But I don't think they use their gmail account frequent enough to use; or, get the invite. As I email them through yahoo and they always get back to me. That invite still shows in my google talk app under invited and in my list on gmail. How do I remove that person from the list or "unsend" the invite. I don't want to hide them in case they do finally accept and add me and then I don't see them.
