Extend android phone display to android tablet

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place for this, if not please advise.

Is there an app that can extend/mirror my Galaxy Nexus display to an android tablet? I have been looking into getting a hdmi field monitor for my cars dash and mirroring the GN display so that I can have a larger screen for GPS applications. However I just picked up a Viewsonic G Tablet (running ICS now) and was wondering if theres a way to use that instead. Obviously the resolution wont be as good as an hdmi monitor but I would save a lot in cost if this was possible.

Crawled around google for 10-15 min and found nothing.

I've been looking for a solution on this for quite some time now and there was someone looking for an Android developer to help on a concept, but that was a year ago. Other than that, Screenshare is the closest thing available right now and that's not that "great" an alternative because it's limited.
