App Shortcuts Automatically Going On Home Screen

Whenever I download an app on my Samsung Galaxy S3, it always puts a shortcut for it on one of my home screens.
Is there any way I can stop this from happening?

- Open the Android Market
- Press the menu button
- Open the settings of the Android Market
- Uncheck the "Auto-add shortcuts" box
