help need calendar & address book

I am ready to return samsung moment and back to my older palm treo 755p. Iam so dissappointed with google. Too many steps.to do things...even a search/find is missing. I had aprogram called find hack...I type in a word, number,name etc. And it gets me a list that jaas what I asked for anit finds it anywhere it exist on the phone with the pdiority given to the caxtagory I asked first...ohwell...maybe I jumped to andrdoid too soon. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

the search button will go through your contacts and the web and certain other areas of the phone...

I'm also coming from Palm, and found that using the Google Calender on the web is pretty close to what Palm had--I was copying my appointments over, and it would sync them up to my phone wirelessly. It helped that I found a plug-in from rememberthemilk.com, allowing me to add reminders and such to the appointments I put in, choosing between email and popup reminders at intervals I saw fit. I don't know if this will help you or not, but it boosted my confidence once I was able to bridge that gap.
