I want something that will sync with Google task manager on the web. I use Launcher pro and pure widget along with jorte calendar. I have played with Gtask and testing jorte todo list manager but want a desktop sync to google.

what do you mean "desktop sync to google"?

There are 2 Gtasks apps on the Market. The one by Dato is the newer one and syncs directly with Google Tasks on the web. And it's compatible with Pure Widget.

EDIT: if you mean something like a direct sync to Google Tasks on the web PLUS a desktop client, nothing exists like that. Alternatively though, here is what you can do:

    - Get Google Chrome
    - Go to https://mail.google.com/tasks/canvas OR http://mail.google.com/tasks/canvas (depends if you use https or http)
    - Login if you haven't done so already
    - If you are using the latest beta of Chrome, then click on the Wrench icon > Tools > Create Application Shortcuts. If you are using the latest stable version, I believe it's the icon next to the Wrench one > create application shortcuts
    - Choose what you want from the options ex. Desktop shortcut and/or Win7 Task Bar shortcut
    - That's it.

Now you have a desktop web app for Google Tasks easily accessible.

just was looking at something that backs to my gmail account so I can have desktop access. I notice which ever gtask I am using now seems to work for that.

The wrench icon is in Google Chrome itself. Usually upper right corner in the tool bar.

The wrench icon isn't shown by default in the MacOS version of Chrome. You'll find the same options in the menubar.
