Switching Messaging Apps Will Send Out Texts Automatically!

Hi!

I'm the kind of person who loves switching between different messaging apps, but recently, whenever I would switch from Textra, Chomp, etc. to a new messaging app, quite a few of my contacts will receive older (already sent!) messages to them, all in a row; without my say-so. The first time that happened, about three people got random texts. When I tried switching apps a few weeks later, the same thing happened... And it was quite annoying. People would tell me, "oh, it only happens the one time," but I'd rather not have that experience again; as the people who got the multiple messages were *not* understanding.

Any input would be appreciated!

This falls under the heading of weird. I've switched apps without it happening, and it shouldn't happen.

Write to the developers of Textra, Chomp, etc., and ask if they know of anything you should be looking for. (Someone maintaining a messaging app has all the messaging stuff in his head 24/7 - it's how programmers' minds work.)

You're right: it shouldn't happen. I know of at least one person it happened to, but everyone else seems to have no issues. It's quite odd!

As I said, if I were working on messaging apps, I'd have ideas of what you should look for., Ask the devs who are - maybe they'll have some ideas. Also ask in the XDA Forums forum for your phone.
