Keyboard has become too small to use, how do I fix it?

keyboard has become too small to use. how to fix?

samsung galaxy s4. have tried, on/off, settings (dont know what I should be looking for really), message menu at bottom left. what else can I try?

Welcome to Android Central! Did it become a smaller squarish keyboard you can move around? That's the floating keyboard. Tap the key the left of the spacebar (with a rectangular icon in it) to toggle the floating keyboard off.
