Gmail Sync Issue

I am using the latest Gmail (5.7.10...) On both my Nexus 7 2013 tab (5.1.1) and my Droid Turbo (5.1). I can't get both devices to sync my email. If I get one to work, the other won't. I've tried disabling/reenabling sync in the App as well as in the account syn options. I've also cleared data in framework services. Any other ideas?

Ok. Fixed it. seems it is a Lollipop problem and should be fixed by 6.0. In the meantime, this app is a temporary workaround: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e.../details?id=forcegmailsync.com&token=TPEQplPF

Now, if only I could fix Android Device manager not seeing my phone...

OK. Even more strange: got up this morning and everything works. Sync. ADM. No ideas. Maybe updated play services? Hmmmm...
