I have a Droid, and a Macbook running OSX 10.5 (Leopard). My friend has an iPhone 3G and has an application that allows him to control his Macbook from anywhere, as long as his Mac is on and he has a data connection to his phone and Mac. I want to be able to do this, but I've yet to find an application on Android that mimics his iPhone app. When he uses the app, he sees his computer's desktop on his iPhone screen, and can control every application. It's basically a remote mouse I think, but with the ability to see the desktop.

Any suggestions? I'm trying Gmote, but that requires me to be able to see my Mac screen, which kind of defeats the purpose.

You should be able to use a VNC client in the Market to connect to a Mac that has screen sharing enabled.

PhoneMyPC is a great app. Costs $9.99 though. You can add multiple computers to look at. It also has multiple viewing options.
