There is this blue box with the number 1 next to my send button when I send messages. And when the message is sent the blue 1 appears next to the message I sent or the messages I receive. What is it for?
I am using samsung s7 edge (I use stock messaging)

Is it always a 1? Does it change maybe when messages are received? Do you have any drafts stuck in your messaging app waiting to be sent? I believe I ran into a similar problem awhile back and what fixed it was uninstalling the app and installing it again. Being stock this isn't a full possibility for you but you can install a new app from the PS and try uninstalling updates for the stock app. You may be able to disable the app. Then allow it to update again or enable it. By installing the third party app you reduce the chances of loosing anything in the switching back and forth, and give you a chance to clear the cache and delete the data. This would also be a good time to reduce some of the load on your app anyway if you have 1000s of SMS and hundreds of MMS.

It is because some of the S7 edge models are dual-sim. You can choose to have a single sim and a memory sd card or dual sim. The blue box 1 is telling you which sim. I think this changes to 1 and 2 when you are in dual sim mode. I have not tried it.
