reading PDFs in LANDSCAPE mode?

I need to read PDFs in LANDSCAPE mode.

But I can't figure out how to do this - have tried two different apps, Adode PDF reader and Google PDF reader.

I was assuming that when you turn the phone (motorola 1650) on its side, it would just go into portrait mode, but this does not seem to be the case.

I'm sure there is a setting somewhere that I do NOT know about - I am a newcomer to the Androit (tm) ecosystem.

You are signed in. Some phones do not automatically rotate views. Pull the dropdown bar and see if there is a View or Rotate icon there. If not, go to Settings, Display and see if there is one there.

yes! that did it.

I should have been looking for a general overall settings (for the whole system) rather than in the individual reader apps.
