Teslaunread won't install on Samsung S8

I have a new Samsung S8. I'd like to keep using Nova launcher with Teslaunread, but for some reason, Teslaunread simply won't install. Nova launcher installs with no problem. When I try to install Teslaunread, it appears to download, but then the option to Install (rather than Open) appears. After a few attempts, I get an error message that says, "Can't install app... 'Teslaunread for Nova Launcher' can't be installed. Try again and if the problem continues, get help troubleshooting. (Error code - 505)." I have tried most of the troubleshooting tips at that link, but nothing has worked. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you.

Have you tried contacting TeslaUnread? There's an email address, if you scroll to the bottom of the "Read more" link in the Play Store.

Thank you for your suggestion, kmf1. I contacted Tesla support, and this was their disappointing response:

"Unfortunately you are contacting us about something that isn't an issue on our end. You will need to contact the correct person(s), which in this case is the Google Play Store to get your issue ​r​esolved. You can do so via the URL below.

http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/request.py?policy=apps&contact_type=contact_policy​."​

I am very doubtful it has anything to do with the Play Store, since it is accessible and does download - it just doesn't install. Any other suggestions?

Just to be extra safe, I did contact Google Play Store support. They tried a couple of things with me, and then confirmed, as I expected, that the problem is with the app, and I need to contact the developer. I went back to Tesla support, but have not heard back.

I finally figured it out. I remembered installing a similar app for Touchwiz called Rad Unread, which displays unread email messages for Gmail if using Touchwiz as the launcher. Since this was only for Touchwiz, not Nova, I decided to install Rad Unread. Once Rad Unread was uninstalled, Tesla Unread installed with no problem.

I finally figured it out. I remembered installing a similar app for Touchwiz called Rad Unread, which displays unread email messages for Gmail if using Touchwiz as the launcher. Since this was only for Touchwiz, not Nova, I decided to install Rad Unread. Once Rad Unread was uninstalled, Tesla Unread installed with no problem.
