Android Central Question

I turn on the notifications volume and when I get no sound on notifications
I check the volume all of a sudden is turned off

Check the notification bell - If you press volume - look and see if there is a bell icon above it. Make sure there is not line through the bell or the vibration is on. If you see these - press the bell until the are off and you just see a plain bell. You can also go to your notification drop down list. Drill down - Look and see if you see manage notifications. Select it. Look at your list of apps and see if they are turned on or if the slider is turned off for each one. If they are - just slide the slider to on. You should hear the notification for the app and check your Do Not Disturb in case it muted your notifications. It happens sometimes.

For me, the problem was the Bixby Home Routine. It was setting the notifications volume to zero. Not sure why you'd do this, but every time I got home - kablam - no notifications volume.
