Question Motorola won't stop resetting the notif???

My friend has a Motorola 5G. It has this problem where it continuously resets to ring notifications at default volume no matter what. I've tried do not disturb and putting the notification volume at 0 , and yet no matter what, within the next few hours, it's making noise again. It resets every time my friend updates his phone, or whenever the clock strikes midnight. It's annoying as hell. Is there a way to get this to stop? Do we need to contact the phone company?

Thread 'moto needs help with notification sound'

My friend has a moto phone, and for some reason, when ever he updates the phone, the notification ringer resets back to default. I've sent in an ask already, but the constant hearing of that phone going off is making me wanna snap it. The same also happens with do not disturb, the phone just turns it back off afterwards. Is there anything we can do? He got the phone last year, neither of us understands why it does this. Do we need to call the manufacturer?
