How can i retrieve photos from a water damaged ZTE KIS 3 phone which won't switch on.

Dropped phone in water. Phone been put in rice after been taken apart. Had it checked by phone shop who's said that I've lost data. All the photos on the phone are irreplaceable & personal 2 me.

the tech was right, you cannot recover a thing if you cannot turn the phone on. you might be able to if you had a bckup set up. check your google account

Welcome to Android Central! You might be able to find a forensic data recovery specialist to take the phone apart and try to get the data directly from the memory chips. But those services can be very expensive (upwards of several hundreds of dollars).

In the future, make sure you back up your important photos and other crucial data on a regular basis, either to your computer or to the cloud. If you took advantage of Google Photos auto-backup, you wouldn't be in this mess. Never assume your phone will last forever.

On the off chance that you did actually use Google Photos auto-backup, go to photos.google.com on your computer browser and see if any of them are there.
