Hello everyone. I like to use old android phones as media players. In this case I have a Sony Xperia E1 that I bought used for super cheap. I play music files on it and use the FM radio.

When I start it up, it always asks for a SIM network unlock pin. I click "dismiss" and then it asks me to select
"language" Can someone tell me how I could possibly deactivate this and just go straight to using the phone?

Thanks for your time. (PS: I can read replies but can't seem to reply to anyone on here) I will PM whomever replies, if you don't mind.)

Are you powering down the phone completely and then powering up again? If so, what if you just put the screen to sleep instead of shutting down the phone completely?

Also, did you ever try Airplane Mode?

Yes I am powering down completely and powering up again. And yes I am in airplane mode. I didn't want to put the screen to sleep because of the very old battery. But I may just start looking for batteries.
