Does the Huawei Watch GT2e work in the United States?

[Android Central Question]

Given the US ban on Huawei, I was wondering if the Huawei Watch GT2e would work in the US. I know I would need to download the Huawei Health app (available on Google Play) but are there any other apps needed to get it up and running?

I have scoured YouTube and I don't think I have seen any reviews from a US-based person. Makes me wonder if anyone in the US actually has one. And yet, it is freely available for purchase on US Amazon.

Otherwise, it looks like a great fitness tracker discussed as a smartwatch!
