I cannot turn off Private DNS has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

[Android Central Question]

I have Android 9 on a X96 Air TV Box and in the network settings under Private DNS it is "stuck" on automatic. Everytime I change it when I leave and go back in it has reverted back to Automatic. I have tried to turn it off (which is what I want), I have tried to set a Private DNS, but as soon as I save my setting, leave, then go back in, it has gone back to Automatic. Anyone know how to fix this ?
