Ahh darn it , let me check .That video describes how to cast to a chrome cast.
Maybe with a converter of some sort
What about usb-c to hdmi , wouldn't work ?Searching Google gives me the impression the LG Stylo line doesn't support video over USB C so there would be no way to connect an HDMI cord directly to the phone. You've got to do wireless casting.
The phone has to have video at the USB port - this phone doesn't. (I've noticed that phones with Mediatek SoCs usually don't.)What about usb-c to hdmi , wouldn't work ?

Yeah , that's what we trying figure out!The phone has to have video at the USB port - this phone doesn't. (I've noticed that phones with Mediatek SoCs usually don't.)
Yeah looks like it, I don't think even pixel phones can do this .I don't know all the technicalities behind it but not all USB C ports are created equal, while USB C supports video out many USB C ports found on phones/tablets/laptops do not. I think it requires additional hardware and circuitry inside the device to support it.
Higher end Samsung devices are the only phones I know for sure do support it and that's because DeX uses it.
No vaYeah looks like it, I don't think even pixel phones can do this .

Yeah we kinda knew this while researching, was just explaining to rukbat that did the research and didn't look like it supported it.In the case of the Stylo 6, here's really nothing complicated to figure out. It has USB-C using USB 2.0 protocol, so it can't use the port to output video.
USB-C is just a port shape that supports both USB 3.1 and up, Thunderbolt, and PD charging in one design because the design allows more connectors. The difference is in the hardware behind the USB port. Stylo 6 is using USB 2.0 behind that USB-C port. Meaning it's impossible. A converter won't do anything if the source isn't outputting video at all. You need USB 3.0 and higher to be able to output video. Whether or not the manufacturer will allow their USB 3.0 to output video is another question (like what Pixels do), but since we're talking about 2.0, the answer is literally only "No it can't".

Check out the USB section in this comparison. The Stylo 6 is listed as "USB-C 2.0", while the S20, which supports HDMI out is using a "USB-C 3.2"
It's like asking for wine to come out of your tap. If the water company isn't putting wine in the pipes, putting a wine bottle at the tap won't fill it up with wine.
I said it didn't.was just explaining to rukbat that did the research and didn't look like it supported it.

Yes , I'm explaining we already knew that from looking upI said it didn't.
