my phone atomatically got factory data reset

[Android Central Question]

i was using whatsapp suddenly my phone got factory data reset and came as erasing then it asked for backup and i allowed it then it asked for gmail account and i logged in but i was surprised why did it happen all suddenly then i researched about it and came to know that it was possible for hackers to hack while factory reset because i allowed the backup which i was not supposed to...so then fast i changed my google account password which i was able to do but i have one doubt after the reset i changed my password if the hacker hacked already to my phone is it possible to him to see my new changed password....and one last doubt how can a hacker can hack my phone without touching it and is it possible for him to factory data reset my phone without touching it...i have immediately changed my google accounts and can i safely add bank accounts hereafter...then what precaution i have to tke hereafter pls reply
