Changed time and date manually and now my messages app doesnt work properly.

[Android Central Question]

I changed my time and date a lot yesterday, and both recieved and sendt some messages while the time was incorrect. If i recieve a message from that person now, it doesnt show. I get the notification, but i cant see it when i open the app. It only shows the messages that was sendt yesterday. I assumed that it didnt show the new messages since the messages sendt yesterday was sendt at a time artificially 2 months ahead and tried to delete the whole chat, but nothing seems to work.
Anyone able to help me?

Which device ?
Why you changing the date and time ? Should be in settings to automatically detect.

I am surprised that anything internet related worked at all. Common internet security protocols tend to insist that the clocks are relatively accurate.
