Android Central Question

I looked on google and they said got to app manager but I don't have that unless its called something else

Unless you specifically approved installing an app, or gave someone physical access to your phone, it's highly unlikely a message blocking app. I guess it's possible parental or business management control apps can do this, but that would mean it's not really your phone.

I suggest registering an account here so you can reply and give us more details about what is going on, which messing app you're using, what app you think is the culprit, phone make and model, etc. I doubt getting to the app manager would fix your problem, but more info helps us help you.

Is this phone yours or just one that someone loaned to you?
It's seems unlikely someone would just come along and install a text messaging blocker app on your device. You would have to a) unlock it for them, b) allow them unsupervised access to actually install and then configure such a thing, and c) then return the phone to you without explanation about what they did.

Or, as Mooncatt referred to, is this a matter where the phone has some sort of parental control implemented and you're asking how to bypass it?

As a previous Verizon employee I'm not aware of a way to block all messages via an app, if it was that easy to block messages we wouldn't all deal with spam texts.

However it is very possible on the carrier level to disable texting among many other features for any given line on a cell phone plan, it's also possible to block via parental controls.

So is this both your phone and your calling plan? Have you checked with your carrier to make sure everything is good to go on their end?
