Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Did you install it from the Play Store or some other app source?

If your home screen is not set to automatically add shortcuts for newly installed apps, then you have to create the shortcut yourself. Open your App Drawer, locate the app, then drag and drop it to the homescreen.
