My Android phone was hacked, how can I restore my phone?

How certain are you that you were 'hacked' rather than just coming up with a case of malware? It's generally pretty difficult to hack an Android device unless you're fairly unscrupulous with what you're clicking on.

This question comes up so much that we even have an excellent sticky thread on the topic! https://forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/966023-i-ve-been-hacked.html#post6908062

Hi, welcome to AC!
Are you the original poster ?

Welcome to Android Central! Ultra-cheap UMX phones that are typically Lifeline phones (i.e., the free government-subsidized cellphone service) are often preloaded with lots of adware, and possibly even some malware. You typically can't get rid of those preloaded apps.

Try clearing the app cache and data for Chrome. Also clear the browsing history (including cookies) "from the beginning of time" in the Chrome app's settings (and do the same on your desktop Chrome browser, since they might be syncing).
