In 2022 the S10 series is slated to be downgraded to quarterly updates. When should I retire my S10e? When it no longer receives monthlies? Am curious what you all would do.

I love the S10e! I would have kept my S10 had it not been for the Pixel 5. I think it's up to you when you'd like to retire it - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! The S10e is still a great device to own today!

Keep us posted on what you decide!

The only thing I don't like about the S10e is the small battery. But the only way to get a bigger battery is to get a bigger phone. Aside from that, I think the s10e is perfect for me. In February I got an S21Ultra, and a couple weeks ago a Pixel 5a which has awesome battery life. Am thinking as soon as the s10e goes quarterly I will put it into semi-retirement.

Technically, Google wants updates to be provided within 90 days of release. And Samsung going to quarterly updates for phones after a certain number of years still complies with Google.

So, really, it is still being patched.

If you still like the phone, I'd keep it. But once the quarterly updates stop, then it's time to move on.

I am keeping my S10+ as it is a good phone and has all the extras, like headphone jack and micro SD card slot and heart rate monitor. It also has Dex. Granted won't be happy when the updates end. But if it still works I will keep it to run my dragon game and Dex.

I am planning on the Pixel 6 or Pro in the New Year, but even if I don't get that I still have my 4a 5G and I love it.

I keep phones until they are too slow or outdated to use, or until they stop working. The S10e, although I don’t have one, would I think have a great deal of life left in it for me.

I do likewise.

I have no plans to replace my S10+ any time soon.

Yes, the smaller battery and lack of telephoto lens were the only two small gripes I had with the S10e. But, even if I got one, I know I would have loved it, and would have loved it for a very long time!
