Android Central Question

I have an s20, and I like to use the fingerprint unlock exclusively, but it has randomly asked me to unlock with my pattern since I got it. I just discovered that it does this purposefully every 72 hours, and I can't find a way to turn it off. I never leave my phone anywhere and don't keep important information in my phone, so I don't see a reason to have this added security and am wondering if there's a way to turn it off.

Asking for the backup pin/password/pattern also keeps that method fresh in your mind because a lot of people were forgetting it when the fingerprint eventually fails. Since you don't seem to have anything of importance on the phone, you could consider just removing the fingerprint lock all together so the phone opens automatically.

I don't have an issue with having to put my pin in at all. I appreciate the added security.

As mentioned it's for security reasons but personally I would never want to have only a finger print scanner, they don't always work.
