Why can't I install YouTube on a TECNO POP 2 Power phone?

I am trying to install YouTube on a TECNO POP 2 Power phone running Android 8.1, but I am unable to. Every time I try, I get the error message, "Can't install YouTube. Try again, and if it still doesn't work, see common ways to fix the problem."

Welcome to Android Central! Are you installing from the Play Store? Did the phone not come with YouTube preinstalled?

Also, that phone is Android Go, which is a scaled down version of Android for budget devices. Try installing YouTube Go instead.
