Samsung S10 black screen and auto rebooting

My Samsung S10 cannot get to the home screen with app icons. It can ask me for the phone password, then I type in PW, and then shows "phone is starting", then freezes with black screen for few mins, then auto rebooting. Because I want to save the photos and contacts from that phone, so I do not want to do factory reset (although I can do it myself). I tried the safe mode, same issue.

When I connected it with PC via USB cable, the PC could find my phone for several seconds when the phone was starting in safe mode. Then the phone freezed, rebooted; the connection with PC was lost.

I also bought an android fix software "Tenorshare ReiBoot for Android Pro" ($19.95). But looks it is a fraud software, could help nothing. I also bought software "DroidKit" ($39.99) to fix my S10; but could not help anything. I called Samsung care, and chatted with them a lot, no help. I went to the local Samsung authorized store UbreakIfix; they only do physical repair.

I also entered recovery mode, and wiped cache, no help.

I did a lot of tries. Same issue. Looks like the OS has problem. I make an appointment with local Samsung service store. But I guess they will ask me to do factory reset as well. The data repair/extraction (lab level, chip access) by the professional company will may cost $700-4000.

Is there a magic button combination or an unusual method/software can help to access my S10 phone in basic mode, without factory reset?

Update: sim card was removed, no SD card, after the phone had problem.

Thanks mustang7757! I just registered. I refreshed the firmware (4 files, BL, AP, CP, HOME_CSC ) with the same firmware version on my phone by Odin. But still same issue, no change. Should I try an old firmware version? Any other ideas?

Welcome to AC!
Home CSC keeps it from factory reset, so if it didn't fix them flashing without Home CSC but will erase data
Seems the old version firmware does not work.
Yeah Samsung closes off bootloader quickly to downgrade

I tried HOME_CSC instead of CSC to avoid user data lost. I want to save photos and contact on the phone, and avoid factory reset. After each reboot, the phone stops and is waiting for my password input. If I do not do anything, it still can do morning alarm. So seems, the phone is ok before password verification. It is black screen and auto rebooting after password verification. My phone password is correct; otherwise it will show "inccorect password", and keeps asking for password.

Looks like whatever issues its having needs to clear home data also , can try safe mode if you can get in or remotely try unlock if your signed into your Samsung account on the device here

Otherwise can try get the phone restored but getting whats on there looks like a no go unless it was back up to Google or Samsung

My phone is using TMobile, so I refreshed it with latest tmobile firmware, and could complete before. But nothing changed on the issue.

I just tried the latest Verizon firmware. The refresh processing failed, could not complete. The phone does not allow the different carrier firmware?

It will flash another carrier firmware but they have to be same bootloader if it's below it it won't flash

My phone is currently on the latest TMobile firmware.

I downloaded the TMobile firmware from here https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s10/firmware/SM-G973U/TMB/ .

And downloaded Verizon firmware from here https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s10/firmware/SM-G973U/VZW/ .

The latest TMobile firmware is 2022/10. And its BL is BL_G973USQU7IVH3_G973USQU7IVH3_MQB55632385_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 .

The latest Verizon firmware is 2021/03. And its BL is BL_G973USQU5GUBH_CL21058543_QB38483092_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5.

If I flash with Verizon firmware (with its own 3 files, AP, CP, HOME_CSC), should I use the latest TMobile BL file (BL_G973USQU7IVH3...) instead of Verizon own BL file (BL_G973USQU5GUBH...)?

I used Frija just now. Seems the latest Verizon firmware is 2021/11. But it is still older than TMobile firmware of my phone. Can I flash with that 202111 Verizon firmware?Capture.JPG

Update: I tried the latest Verizon firmware 202111 from Frija. Odin failed to flash with it. Maybe still because the version is older than TMobile.

I downloaded a latest version of Spint (SPR) by Frija, same BL version (G973USQU7IVH3) as TMobile, almost same time 202209 as TMobile 202210. Odin could finish flashing with the Spint firmware, sounds lucky. A successful flashing screenshot is attached below. When the phone rebooted after flash, I expected to see the Spint login screen. But I still saw the TMobile pink login screen. Nothing changed! Seems the firmware flash by Odin did not do anything on my phone. It is so weird.Capture_SPR.JPG

One more try. I downloaded firmware of USC (I do not know that carrier, just gave a try), same BL version (G973USQU7IVH3) as TMobile. Flashing had failures about serial COM port, but completed. Then rebooted, still saw TMobile login screen. Nothing changed, same issue! Odin cannot change anything on my phone with any firmware. So sad. What wrong may be?
