Welcome to the forums.
I would start by going to Settings>Apps>swipe over to all apps. Look for either a photo editor or Gallery and click on it. Then click clear cache.

i am unable to save edited photos and even save photos from facebook. i was able to save before but nw its says unable to save or sd card full. i formated the sd card still it says the same. i even tried uninstaling and reinstaling google+ and also cleared cache of all the apps. please help.

We have stopped the g+ services, cleared cache, later onwards its working fine for me

If the folder existed before the update to KitKat, you have to save the files on a computer, delete the folder, let the app create the folder again, copy the files back to the folder, then the app can save files to the folder.
