AC Question

Please could somebody help me here. I have looked all over the net and can't seem to find a fix.

I purchased my nexus 5 about 2 weeks ago and everything is great except the fact that my internet never works.
Well, it does and doesn't. I am on three (uk network) – I have called them and they ran tests and told me my signal strength is 100% so the problem is definitely the phone. I will have 4G and it works okay, kinda slow but then it will just drop to H and an orange bar. I can't get internet at all when it is like this and in order to get messages and calls also I have to reboot the phone. I don't think it's normal that I'm rebooting my phone 6-7 times a day?

I was in a park yesterday and everybody had full signal and internet but me, so it's definitely the phone.

PLEASE can somebody give me a fix for this.

Did you buy the phone new? I also have a Nexus 5 with Three, in a non-4G area; no problems. If you go into Settings>More>Mobile Network>Preferred Network Type, are you on the appropriate setting?

Yeah bought it brand new from Google directly. All the settings are default, what should they be? It's on 4g recommended..

If there is no LTE, you should set it to 3G. This will give you 3G and "4G" networks (WiMax, HSPA, HSPA+). If this doesn't help, the APN settings for your carrier may be wrong.

To check your APN settings, go to Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
