I'm using T-Mobile service

My mistake i renamed my thread from "Blocking my phone number question" to "Blocking his or her phone number question"

You can block number through your phone app if you want.

To block numbers through your phone app, open the phone app>go to Recent Calls>find and touch the number you want to block>under the number there are 4 options, the phone icon, the message icon, the video call icon, and the 3 lines that show all of the calls from that number>Select the 3 lines to show all calls from that number>at the bottom of the screen you should see an option to block the number.

You mentioned Scam Shield, to use that or other T-Mo blocking tools you can follow these instructions.

To block numbers on T-Mobile, use the free Scam Shield app or dial #662# to activate network-level Scam Block. For specific numbers, use your phone’s native call-blocking feature, or log in to your T-Mobile account online to manage blocked numbers and set up Family Allowances.

Top Ways to Block Numbers on T-Mobile

  • Scam Shield App (Recommended): Download the T-Life app (which includes Scam Shield) to manage blocked numbers, view "Scam Likely" calls, and enable Scam Block.
  • Network Shortcodes:
    • Activate Scam Block: Dial #662# (blocks high-risk scam calls at the network level).
    • Deactivate Scam Block:
      Dial #632#.

      • Check Status: Dial #787#.
    • T-Mobile Online Account: Log in to T-Mobile.com to use the Family Allowances feature to block specific numbers.
    • Device-Level Blocking:
      • Android/iPhone: Open your phone app, go to recent calls, select the number, and choose "Block" or "Report spam".
You should only have to do one of the above mentioned blocking methods to stop the caller but I would recommend that however you block them you use the same method for all calls you block. This way if you accidentally block a number that you later realize you need, you won't have to search through every method to find the method that you used so that you can unblock the number.
