AC Question
I used Samsung's Smart Sync app to transfer my calendar and contacts from Outlook/iphone to my Samsung S5. I then expected that this info would get synced to google calendar and contacts. However, it appears that Smart Sync loads calendar and contacts to the device -- not to the google account -- and there is no way to sync the device to google contacts.
First question: is the above correct, or is there a way to sync the device with google (without manually moving each contact and each calendar event)?
Based on other forum posts, it looks like the only solution is to wipe the calendar and contacts, then upload the outlook information directly to google using my pc and a browser, and then sync my phone with the google account. However, when I went to the Application Manager to clear the calendar data, I found 2 applications called Calendar and one called Calendar Storage. Now I don't know which ones to clear. Similarly, with Contacts, there is an application called Contacts and one called Contact Storage.
Second question: Will this solution actually work? If so, what is the best way to cleanly delete this data from my phone (preferably without using Factory Reset)?
Thanks.
