Google play freezes on my s-5 when trying to install an app, the screen locks up and I have to exit out. I have tried clearing the app data and the cache files for Google play and restarted my phone with no luck. I created a new G+ account and tried again to no avail. Is there anything I can do? I have only had my s-5 phone for about a week and a half so I might be missing something simple. Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

Does it freeze with every App you try to install or only one in particular? Are you downloading over data or WiFi connection?

Try to log out of the Google account via System settings then log back in. See if that helps.

To add on to what srkmagnus had to say, if that doesn't work, try erasing the Play Store's cache in your settings menu.

All other app stores work fine. It freezes on Google play when I hit the install button. I use wi-fi and I have already cleared the cache and app settings and data. As an example I tried to install Skype, I log into Google play find the app then I hit the install button and nothing happens and it freezes. When I use amazon or any other app store it downloads and works fine. Problem is just with Google play, not the Wi-Fi network. I don't know.

Do you have more then one Gmail account connected to your phone? Can you go on a PC, head over to https://forums.androidcentral.com/e?...token=UI7kLwbF, and download the app from there so it installs onto your phone?

I tried that and when I am on my laptop it tells me that there is no device connected to the account, yet the apps that I have wishlisted on my phone are wishlisted on my account on my laptop. When I click the learn more link it tells me that my device has not accessed Google play store then it tells me how to accesses it, which I have already done. It is rather frustrating.
