Menu covering embedded videos

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this. No matter what, the html5 player menu displays over all videos embedded in sites I try on my gs5. It does this in chrome, the stock browser and in feedly. Even tried a master reset and it still displays it. Any help would be much appreciated. Here is a screen shot of what is displayed.

Yeah, this junk just started on my Nexus 7 and it wasn't there earlier when I first went to 4.4.4... That doggone blob is all over my embedded vidz on Pulse.

Full screen the video and the option box goes away.
