I have a problem with my s4, where it shows the applications taking 9 gigabytes of internal memory where I calculated alI to be only 4!! Also pictures and vids as 250mb, where they all are on my sd!

I want to add photos to show you, but here are all the apps according to the default manger: 1,423.36+542+273+202+111+68+67+59+58+56+54+44+45+44+44+38+38+35+34+30+30+30+29+36+25+25+25+25+24+23+23+23+22+22+22+22+22+21+21+20+20+20+19+19+18+18+18+16+15+14+14+14+13+13+12+11+11+10+10+10+9+8+8+8+8+8+8+7+7+7+8+6+6+6+6+6+5+5+5+5+5
=4,191.36
And again it shows 9 gb used!!

I did! Tried dialing *#9900# and clearing dump, nothing happened! And I am not willing to do a reset as I have important data, and not willing to gamble.... I recon there should be an app that checks for such hidden "ghost" data!

@Belodion may be right. Are you looking at the Storage screens. This is my 32gb Samsung Note 3 without an sd card.

Ah. OK then. Needs looking in to. If you want to post a screenshot you can do so on the Tapatalk app or AC Forums version, or now also on the Android Central app.
The Tapatalk uploading is better but you need a separate first time log in for Tapatalk.

It's hard to know what you are counting but I remember something similar in an old thread and they were able to isolate the 5gb error there.
I will be counting sheep shortly in London. If this get's missed on this new quickie Q&A forum, it would be worth starting a thread in: Android Central Lounge - Introductions (experienced moderators and ambassadors say hi there), and the S4 forums.
But keep an eye here.

Welcome to Android Central.

Hey guys
I read through the above posts and I have the same problem with my phone although I have a galaxy s5...
I have tried dialling the *#9900# code although it says that I have an incorrect mmi or something.
I have just bought this phone and I am really worried a bought a fake phone or something!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!
Thanks
Ray
