Hello everyone. I'm trying to spoof my location for apps such as Bumble, Tinder, etc to where I will be very shortly going. However, all my attempts have failed. This is what I have done until now:
- Downloaded fake GPS app (from my understanding the only app that does not require root)
- Fake GPS app settings as follows: Accuracy 1m, Update interval 100ms, Simulate Moving 2m
- In Settings - Developer options - Fake GPS is set under Select Mock location app
- In Settings - location services - all are turned off (Google Location Accuracy, Wifi & BT Scanning).
- I have nord VPN and I have connected to a local server. I have also disabled BT and Wifi so only using data.

Alas, somehow these specific apps (Bumble, Tinder, etc) still detect my actual location instead of the spoofed location. Google map shows me correctly to my spoofed location and not jumping.

Can anyone help me with this? I have Pixel 6 on the latest android update.

Thanks!

The Fake GPS app will only, according to its own About this app description, fool the apps on your device that you're in a different locale. Or in other words, the Bumble app on your phone will be misled but the online Bumble servers, the source of your online account with them, will still be seeing your phone to be as is.

Try using your VPN app instead. That makes you online connectivity to be from a different place. Just keep in mind some VPN services only allow their users to use a handful of different VPN servers. Better, more elaborate VPNs allow their customers a much wider range of VPN servers in multiple locations in different countries. It's often a 'you get what you pay for' matter.
