Can't access Google Play

[AC Question]

I just got the Kyocera Brigadier and my data seems to be working fine. I get my Gmail emails i can use chrome but every time i try to log into the play store it says "no connection" even if i'm connected to WiFi.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you even get to the main Play Store screen? If so, swipe in from the left--is your Google account's email address listed at the top?

How are you accessing Gmail--through the Gmail app or through the browser?

I'm accessing gmail thru the gmail app. I can listen to my google play music as well. When I access my Google play store i see my email to the left. I went in my application manager on my phone and clear the cache and the data for google play and restarted my phone and the thing still says no connection?

Strange. There can sometimes be temporary server issues. How long has this been going on?
