Galaxy S5 won't accept fingerprint, what do I do?

switch from password to fingerprint while phone is not logged in.

My Galaxy 5 wouldn't accept my fingerprint and switched to alternate password mode and I don't know what my password is. I've been trying all the passwords I use on other devices, they don't work. I've got 2 tries left before it resets (whatever that means). What do I do?

make sure your using proper upper or lower case on the passwords.

Make sure you wipe the home button off and that is clean and you swipe slowly and your fingerprint is positioned correctly.

also do not keep guessing the password as it will wipe the device after too many unsuccesful attempts for security
