Why isn't my data connecting even though it's turned on?

gs4 mobile data is on in the settings but won't turn on

My Samsung galaxy 4 AT&T mobile data won't on when I turned it on

Do you mean if you click on the setting for 4G network it doesn't activate? What happens Isle you switch on 4G is that your phone will only pick it up I fnuik there is a "strong" 4G signal while download files, surfing the Web etc.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the mobile data switch greyed out? Or does it turn on briefly, then turn off by itself?

What wireless provider do you have? Have you brought this up with them?
