Question How to stop sneaky language changes?

I found out how to go back to English. I even managed to remove French from the list of available languages, though sometimes the system seems to resist that change. Nothing helps. When I turn the tablet on again, it's back! I turned off "localisation". French still comes back!!!

I'm going to a country which language I can't understand at all. I expect my tablet to become totally unusable. I won't be able to understand the menus sufficiently to put the default language back to English.

What's the brand and model number of the tablet? Do you know what region of the world it was intended for sale in?

Are you saying the language changes automatically to languages other than French, or is it only changing to French?
