What does "Home not working" message mean and how is it fixed on LgG3?

Many days in the morning, the alarm does not work and the phone has the message "Home not working." Help please.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the error message, "Unfortunately, Home has stopped working"? Home refers to the launcher (i.e., the app responsible for homescreens, app icons, folders, etc.). Do you have any alternative launchers installed, or just the one that came with the phone? Does the error go away if you reboot?

Same issue here - after updating - LG-G4 on T-Mobile to "Marshmallow" I began to get this error...

I have done a wipe and install Hard boot(?) after this, to no effect - tried and removed alternate launchers - updated all home settings - and flushed all caches.
Still persists.

Is it possible that after the OS update GPS needs more time to find "Home" accurately? Could this causes this behavior.?

I remember seeing somewhere when during setup that Home may take up to 5 days to register correctly. Could this be it??
