How to get through the 'no command' screen after factory reset (Galaxy S5)

My friend has a Galaxy S5. He noticed as it was charging that the batter was draining and went through several attempts at resetting/removing the battery. Soon, the notification "Unfortunately, com.sec.android.app.samsungapps has stopped" appeared. He then tried factory resetting his phone, which resulted in being stuck on the 'no command' screen. As stated above, he has a Samsung Galaxy S5. I will update if anything progresses, or if anybody requests further information in order to assist in solving the issue.

Try to update or get root. I ever encountered the same problem of stuck on the logo only but can't boot, which caused by i deleted some app that destroyed the firmware. And finally got root save the phone. So you can try to recover the firmware at first.
