You could get a Google Voice number and give that to the caller you want to block, mark the number as blocked (the caller will get a "number not in service" response (his texting app determines what he sees as a result of that). And just send all of his texts on your phone to spam. (You can also forward the Google Voice number to your phone and give out that number to everyone. GV has more flexibility than most carriers' systems. The number can be forwarded to more than one number - I have mine going to my home and cell phones. The first one to pick the call up gets it. So one number whichever phone you're nearest to. And, in my case, my GV number is local to where I moved to, but my cellphone and home numbers are still local to where I moved from. So I get a local number for people who get confused when I give them an area code [usually store clerks], but everyone can still call me on my old numbers.)
