Which is the most reliable calendar to use?

Beginning to wish I'd stayed with an IPhone!

We have 3 Google Calendars, 2 HTC One M8s, 2 IPads and one laptop. All I want is for the 3 google calendars to sync reliably across the 5 pieces of hardware. It seems that this is impossible for more than a week or so.

I delete all accounts, re create them and the calendars sync OK for a while. Then it all happens again.

Any other calendars that are better?

Welcome to Android Central! Can you give us a few more details? I have about 5 different Google Calendars, and I also sync a couple of my wife's calendars, and have no difficulty with Google Calendar. One of the nuances is to understand that there are separate options for which calendars to keep synced and which calendars to display.

Not sure what more detail I can give you. We have a calendar each plus one for the business, we each have an HTC One M8 and an IPad, the business has a laptop. I want all three cals to sync and display a sync'ed cal x 3 on all 5 devices but it's clearly beyond Google as I have to delete and recreate on the phones every few weeks.

My family uses Cozi across Android and iPhone with no problem (except that looking up some future event isn't there - I can scroll a year in the future, but I can't look for "Dr. Smith" to see when my next appointment is). But we keep a few households together with it, I just noticed this morning that I'll have to take my grandson to his soccer game on Saturday because my daughter is working an 8-8 shift - she must have added it late last night.

It can also link to online (like Google) calendars.

Free on both Android and iPhone (although there is a paid version with a few more goodies).

I wish I could actually hold your device in my hand and check. Are you all sharing your calendars with each other from each person's separate Google account, or are you all sharing the same Google account, with all of the calendars in the same account?

The problem as I see it is that Google calendars are dependant on a gmail address. If you log in to your Google account elsewhere, it seems to log you out of your previous access point. That is if I'm logged in on my phone and then log in on the business laptop, it logs me out on the phone but doesn't actually tell me that it's done so.

Hmm, I actually don't encounter that issue myself. I'm always logged into my Google account on multiple devices, and when I make a change on one device, I can see it change on the other soon after.

When you say it logs you out on the phone, are you talking about just the Calendar app, or the whole phone? Logging off your Google account on the phone means essentially removing the account.

Well guys, I thank you for your help on this. I have cured the problem by purchasing two Iphones, there will be two HTCs on ebay in a week or so. Just couldn't waste any more time and effort with it, life's too short.

Serves me right for forgetting that the greener grass over on the other side may only be a cheap paint!
