Welcome to Android Central! Where are you located? If you're somewhere in between, perhaps the app can't decide which major city to latch onto.

Since the cities are so far apart (1500km or about 950 miles), it has to be something with the way accuweather gets its location. There's no way you could be picking up a cellphone tower that's 750km (half-way, which would be the best scenario for this to be happening) away. Even a 1000 foot (305 meters) tower has only half that distance to the horizon - and is much farther than you could get a signal from. And GPS can't be that far off. Even 1km error would be a world-wide disaster.

About the only thing I can think of, other than an app that's running wild, is that your cellphone tower is changing what it's transmitting, so if the phone is using cell tower only location, it keeps thinking it's in a different place.

It might be interesting if you contacted Accuweather support@accuweather.com and let them know what's happening and ask if they can figure it out.
