Why has my microphone suddenly stopped working?

Microphone suddenly stopped working

Yesterday my Samsung Duos phone was working fine, then suddenly I got a few calls and the people said they could not hear me. After some time I tested by calling to some other phones and confirmed that the microphone was not working. When I switched to speaker mode or I put ear phone on the phone, then also its not working. I tried turning off the noise cancellation but could not find anything. What should I do now?

If neither mic (close up or speakerphone) is working, it's probably a software or motherboard issue. If you can't diagnose which one it is by yourself, you'll have to being it into a shop.
